Construction
The Bauer Matrix is a two-piece constructed elbow pad that is ergonomically shaped to your forearm, elbow and upper arm. The upper bicep guard is a separate piece attached to the forearm and elbow protection, giving your arms range of motion when skating and controlling the puck.
Bicep & Forearm Protection
The bicep is independently constructed from the elbow cap and forearm. It is molded to wrap nicely around the bicep without interfering with any elbow movements. The bicep also has a molded polyethylene insert for added protection.
Elbow Cap
The Bauer Supreme Matrix is specifically constructed to move with you. It offers a full coverage anatomical split cap design. The elbow cap features AMP (Active Motion Protection) that allows the elbow pad to move freely with your motions. Additionally, the cap is equipped with vented armour foam. It is lightweight, breathable, and disperses impacts.
Strapping System
New to the Supreme Matrix elbow pad is the Venteprene strapping system. It is a lightweight, stretchy material that comfortably wraps around your forearm to lock the elbow pad in place.
There is also a standard strap along the top to hold the bicep protector in the correct place.
Liner
Bauer’s Thermo Max liner is infused with an antimicrobial and sweat management system to keep your body temperature regulated and allow the elbow pad to dry quickly after use.
